Protecting your results

Pre & Post

Care

What happens before and after your appointment is just as important as the treatment itself. These guidelines protect your skin, extend your results, and ensure you receive everything you came for.

Facial & Chemical Peel

Care

Your esthetician will review these at your appointment. Arriving informed is part of the experience — following this protocol is how results last.

Before your

appointment

Arrive with a clean face

Remove all makeup before your appointment. This preserves your full treatment time and allows for an accurate skin assessment from the start.

Pause active ingredients 3–5 days prior

Discontinue retinols, AHAs, BHAs, and exfoliating treatments at least 3–5 days before your service. These sensitize the skin and can interfere with your results.

Disclose all medications & recent procedures

Certain medications and treatments affect skin response. Disclose everything — there are no irrelevant details in a skin consultation.

Hydrate consistently in the 48 hours prior

Well-hydrated skin responds more effectively to treatment and recovers more efficiently. Prioritize water in the days before your visit.

After your

appointment

Keep your routine simple for 24–48 hours

Gentle, non-active products only. No fragrance, no exfoliants. Your skin just did the work — let it recover.

SPF every single day — non-negotiable

Freshly treated skin is more susceptible to UV damage and hyperpigmentation. Broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every morning regardless of weather.

Do not pick, peel, or force shedding

If skin sheds following a peel, allow it naturally. Picking causes scarring — particularly on deeper skin tones. Trust the process.

Avoid heat exposure for 24 hours

Skip saunas, steam rooms, intense workouts, and hot showers. Elevated temperature causes irritation and slows recovery.

Chemical Peel

After Care

  1. Avoid vigorous physical activity for 48 hours — minimize exercise and sweating
  2. Avoid direct sunlight and apply sunscreen daily
  3. Do not apply any exfoliating ingredients or products during healing
  4. Do not peel, rub, or scratch your skin — may cause damage and scarring
  5. Skip heavy makeup; opt for lightweight mineralized powder if needed
  6. No waxing, threading, laser, or electrolysis treatments for 10 days

Post Peel Routine:

Morning: Cleanse · Serum · Moisturizer · Sunscreen

Evening: Cleanse · Mask (3× per week) · Serum · Moisturizer

Note: You may cleanse 8–10 hours post treatment. Your post-care kit lasts 5–7 days. Return to your regular homecare routine thereafter as discussed with your esthetician.

Waxing & Sugaring

Care

Your esthetician will review these at your appointment. Arriving informed is part of the experience — following this protocol is how results last.

Before your

appointment

Let it grow

Hair must be at least ¼ inch (roughly the length of a grain of rice) for waxing or sugaring to be effective. Do not shave for at least 2–3 weeks prior.

Exfoliate gently 24 hours before

Light exfoliation the day before helps lift dead skin and allows for a cleaner result. Do not exfoliate the day of.

Avoid retinols and active ingredients

Discontinue retinol, AHAs, BHAs, and exfoliating treatments at least 5 days before your appointment. These thin the skin and increase sensitivity.

Come clean and dry

Arrive with clean skin, free of lotion, oil, or deodorant on the area being waxed. Product residue prevents proper adhesion.

Disclose all medications & recent procedures

Certain medications (Accutane, antibiotics, blood thinners) affect skin sensitivity and may be contraindicated. Disclose all medications before your service.

After your

appointment

Skip the heat for 24–48 hours

No hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or intense workouts. Heat causes irritation on freshly waxed skin.

No sun exposure for 48 hours

Freshly waxed skin is more vulnerable to UV damage and hyperpigmentation. Apply SPF if going outside.

Do not touch or pick

Avoid touching the treated area. Hands carry bacteria that can cause breakouts on open follicles.

No tight clothing immediately after

Wear loose, breathable clothing to reduce friction and irritation.

Exfoliate starting at 48 hours

Beginning 2 days after, gently exfoliate 2–3 times per week to prevent ingrown hairs.

Note on menstrual cycles

Skin sensitivity is elevated during your menstrual cycle but this is not an exemption from the cancellation policy. Please plan accordingly.

Dermaplaning

Care

Your esthetician will review these at your appointment. Arriving informed is part of the experience — following this protocol is how results last.

Before your

appointment

Arrive with a clean, dry face

Remove all makeup before your appointment. No oils, SPF, or moisturizer on the skin.

Pause active ingredients 5–7 days prior

Discontinue retinol, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C serums, and all exfoliating treatments at least 5–7 days before your service.

No waxing or hair removal in the treatment area within 2 weeks

Avoid any other hair removal method on the face before your appointment.

Disclose active breakouts or skin conditions

Dermaplaning is not performed over active acne, open lesions, or inflamed skin. Please disclose your current skin status when booking.

Disclose all medications

Certain medications affect skin sensitivity and healing. Disclose everything.

After your

appointment

SPF — non-negotiable

Dermaplaning removes the outermost layer of dead skin, leaving you significantly more vulnerable to UV damage. Broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every single morning, rain or shine.

Keep your routine simple for 48 hours

Gentle cleanser and moisturizer only. No actives, no exfoliants, no vitamin C, no retinol for at least 5 days post-treatment.

Do not attempt to exfoliate

Your skin has just been physically exfoliated. Additional exfoliation will cause irritation and sensitivity.

Skip heavy makeup for 24 hours

Allow skin to breathe. If needed, opt for lightweight mineral powder only.

No heat exposure for 24 hours

Skip saunas, steam, intense workouts, and hot showers the day of your treatment.

Hair will grow back the same

Dermaplaning does not change the texture, color, or rate of facial hair growth. This is a common concern and a common myth.

Microneedling & Nanoinfusion

Care

Your esthetician will review these at your appointment. Arriving informed is part of the experience — following this protocol is how results last.

Before your

appointment

Pause active ingredients 5–7 days prior

Stop all retinols, AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, and exfoliating treatments at least 5–7 days before your appointment.

No blood thinners or anti-inflammatories 48 hours before

Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and fish oil if possible. These increase bruising and bleeding risk. Consult your physician before stopping any prescribed medication

No waxing, laser, or other resurfacing treatments within 2 weeks.

Arrive with a clean face

No makeup, SPF, or topical products on the skin at time of appointment.

Disclose all medications and health conditions

Especially blood disorders, active skin infections, history of keloid scarring, or any recent aesthetic procedures. There are no irrelevant details here.

Stay hydrated

Well-hydrated skin heals more efficiently. Prioritize water intake in the 48 hours before your visit.

After your

appointment

Expect redness and sensitivity for 24–72 hours

This is normal. Your skin is in active repair mode.

Do not touch your face

Keep hands off the treated area. Bacteria introduced to open channels can cause breakouts or infection.

No active ingredients for 5–7 days

No retinol, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, or exfoliants until skin has fully healed. Gentle cleanser and fragrance-free moisturizer only.

SPF every morning

Non-negotiable. Treated skin is highly vulnerable to UV damage and pigmentation changes. Broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily.

No heat, sweat, or steam for 72 hours

Skip workouts, saunas, steam rooms, and hot showers for at least 3 days.

Do not pick or peel

If skin flakes during healing, allow it to shed naturally. Forcing it causes scarring, particularly on deeper skin tones.
